Itinerary

The days are short this time of year which means we don’t have a fixed itinerary for this tour but instead make our decisions based on the weather forecast. That being said, our main focus is to photograph the unique Riisitunturi National Park. The park is known for its beautiful snow-covered trees and stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Spending several days immersed in this scenery allows us to capture unique images in various conditions.

Additionally we will spend a day or two in Oulanka National Park where we visit the famous Myllykoski and Kitka river. The open river is a beautiful contrast to the otherwise white surroundings.

At the end of the week, we will be transported by a snowmobile to the amazing Kuntivaara fell. The landscapes here are similar to Riisitunturi but denser, and more remote. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you’re not going to forget.
